BABA-W Developing New Chip to Fill Nvidia Void: Report

Chinese chip companies and AI developers are building their own technologies to fill the void left by Nvidia (NVDA.US) due to sales obstacles in China, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.
It is understood that BABA-W (09988.HK) is now developing a new chip that is more powerful than its previous versions, aiming to serve a broader range of AI inference tasks. The new chip is said to be manufactured by a Chinese company.
